Stepping into Chase’s has the feel of an old general store crossed with grandma’s farm kitchen. The atmosphere is simple but pleasing with old wood floors, bright picture windows overlooking Main St. and high, pressed tin ceilings. The menu reveals the same character, with fresh, handmade baked goods every morning and a changing array of menu offerings, depending upon the season. During the growing season, the menu reflects what is coming in from the family farm, and the back room of the restaurant serves as a mini-farmer’s market with herbs, flowers and produce that come in from the Chase farm. The restaurant also serves as gallery space featuring interesting regional artists throughout the year.
